One of our favorite local bands for the last few years is Sound Frontier, a blues/rock trio that started at the New Amsterdam Musical Association in Harlem. The band is fronted by Ali Bishop, a fantastic guitarist who actually started out as an MC before moving over to what he calls "street blues." While the line-up of the band is changing even as we write this, Sound Frontier is still not to be missed. They are finishing their first album right now and performing at Public Assembly in Williamsburg on March 26. We might not be able to catch this show, but you should.
